Recently, Anmi Nippon Steel India announced a "Green Steel Investment Plan" worth 600 billion rupees (approximately 7.014 billion US dollars), which includes increasing production capacity, improving the handling of scrap steel and increasing the use of renewable energy, etc.
In terms of renewable energy, Anmi Nippon Steel India plans to develop a renewable energy power generation and pumped storage power station in Kurnol, Andhra Pradesh, India, to provide stable and reliable renewable energy for its flagship steel plant in Hazra, Gujarat. The company also plans to renovate its existing production equipment, including efficient smelting technology and energy recovery systems, in order to minimize waste and emissions and achieve energy conservation and carbon reduction.
In terms of scrap steel utilization, the company has collaborated with a scrap steel processing plant located in Khopoli, Maharashtra, focusing on improving the quality of scrap steel.
In terms of enhancing operational efficiency through technological innovation, the company is making significant investments in digitalization, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve operational efficiency at all stages of the manufacturing process, reduce energy consumption and enhance the quality of steel products.
