Jingye Iron and Steel Group independently developed a temperature control system for the sintering ignition furnace.
The automatic temperature control system for the ignition furnace in the ironmaking and sintering process, independently developed by the Intelligent Information Department of Daoyi Iron and Steel Group, has been successfully implemented. It enables automated and intelligent temperature control and has been in stable operation for over three months. This has effectively solved the traditional temperature control problems and injected intelligent power into the improvement of production quality, energy consumption reduction, and efficiency stability in the sintering process.
The ignition furnace in the sintering process is the "start engine" of the sintering section in steel enterprises. Its operating status directly determines the startup efficiency and product quality of the sintering process. Insufficient temperature will lead to an increase in the amount of returned ore, while excessively high temperature may cause an over-melting crust on the surface, affecting the strength of the sintered ore.
The newly implemented intelligent temperature control system provides a key guarantee for the stable operation of the ignition furnace. This system can significantly reduce temperature fluctuations in the ignition chamber. Under normal operating conditions, 90% of the time, the temperature of the ignition furnace can be stabilized within the set value ±30 degrees Celsius, without the need for additional manual regulation to meet production requirements. It also has the ability to identify abnormalities. Even if any temperature sensor on either the north or south side provides incorrect data, the system can still regulate normally and fully ensure the continuity of production. In addition, this system has been connected to PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) signals, enabling the function to be started or stopped in the original Wincc (an industrial automation human-machine interface and monitoring and data acquisition system developed by Siemens) to significantly reduce the operational threshold and further enhance the automation and intelligence level of the sintering process.
